About the Workshop

We all experience culture, but it’s difficult to describe. We’re told that it “eats strategy for breakfast”, so it must be important. It's omnipotent, all consuming; it impacts everything all the time.

For change professionals it’s critical, and you know more than you think. However, culture isn’t usually the focus of the changes you’re working on, but it influences success. If what you need are ways to assess culture and have approaches that can influence it, this is the session is for you.

In this session hosted by Get Real Change founders Laura and Steve, we aim to help your professional practice by:

  • Exploring culture and why it’s important;
  • Learning how to understand culture; and
  • How to take small steps to change culture.

This is an interactive session for change professionals wanting to know more about culture and how they can expand their knowledge and toolset. Expect the impact to be about the knowledge, stories and interaction you bring to it, rather than the quality of the powerpoint slides!

Details:

  • The cost to attend this workshop is £30.
  • A Zoom link to the event will be provided prior to the session.
  • Times listed are BST.

The Session:

Open Space – We move away from a traditional top down lecture session to a more informal exchange of information and ideas to create an energising and freewheeling exchange

Driven by Participants – We know that the sum of the expertise of the people in the room will be great. The session is designed to draw on this collective expertise

Responsive, Engaging and Interactive – Effective learning comes from doing and collaborating with people in a safe environment. Our approach is to use a framework that helps participants to explore tools in a collaborative and respectful manner.
